Academic Progress & School Reports

At Holy Trinity Catholic School, we use a variety of tools and resources to support student growth, guide instruction, and share important school information with families. These resources help provide a clearer picture of student learning, school progress, and the many ways our students grow academically, spiritually, and personally throughout the year.

Student learning is an ongoing journey, and we believe it is important to regularly evaluate progress, celebrate accomplishments, and identify opportunities for continued growth. Through assessments, school reports, and data-driven instruction, our teachers are able to better understand student needs and create meaningful learning experiences that support success in the classroom.

These resources also help strengthen the partnership between school and home by providing families with helpful information and insight into both individual student progress and the overall growth of our school community. Together, we continue working toward our mission of helping students become confident learners, compassionate leaders, and faithful disciples of Christ.

NWEA MAP Testing

Holy Trinity students in grades K-8 participate in NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessments, which help measure growth in reading, mathematics, and language throughout the school year. Unlike traditional tests that provide only a snapshot in time, MAP assessments are designed to adjust in real time to each student’s current learning level, creating a more personalized experience.

These assessments provide teachers with valuable information about each student’s strengths, areas for growth, and academic progress over time. Using this data, teachers can better understand student needs, identify opportunities for enrichment or additional support, and guide classroom instruction in meaningful ways.

MAP results also help track growth from year to year using the RIT (Rasch unIT) scale, allowing teachers and families to see progress over time rather than focusing on a single score. Our goal is to use this information to support every student, celebrate growth, and continue helping students reach their full potential.

Annual Report

Each year, Holy Trinity Catholic School publishes an Annual Report that provides families with a broader look at the life and growth of our school community. The report highlights important milestones, student experiences, academic achievements, faith formation, financial information, and the many events and activities that make Holy Trinity special.

The Annual Report serves as a reflection of the school year and celebrates the accomplishments of our students, staff, and community. It offers families insight into how our mission of knowing, loving, and serving God in all we do continues to guide the daily experiences of our students both inside and outside the classroom.

Through stories, school highlights, student achievements, and important school information, the Annual Report allows families to see the many ways Holy Trinity continues to grow, strengthen our community, and support student success.

How We Use This Information

Assessment results and school reports help our staff reflect, plan, and continue improving the student experience at Holy Trinity Catholic School. The information gathered provides valuable insight into both individual student growth and overall school progress, allowing us to make thoughtful decisions that support learning and strengthen our educational programs.

Teachers use student assessment data to guide instruction, identify strengths and areas for growth, and provide meaningful learning opportunities that meet the needs of students in the classroom. School reports also help us celebrate accomplishments, recognize progress, and evaluate ways we can continue enhancing the educational experience for our students and families.

Most importantly, this information helps us continue supporting our students as they grow academically, spiritually, socially, and personally while remaining focused on our mission to help students know, love, and serve God in all we do.
